How to connect your Instagram account to a Facebook Page

This is a step we see many influencers here at Atisfyre struggling with, so we're here to help! You must connect your desired Instagram account to a Facebook Page due to the way Meta’s external connections are set up. It is essential that your IG is linked to a FB Page. So, let’s get into it.

Before you get started

1. Make sure that your Instagram is set up as a Business account (this is required to connect to Atisfyre). You can only complete this walkthrough if you have already done this. Find out more about this here.
2. Check to see if you have an Admin role on your Facebook Page. If you are not the Admin, then you won’t be able to link your IG to it.

Getting your Instagram account connected to your Facebook Page

Connecting your FB Page to your IG is easiest done on your phone. Let’s walk through the steps you’ll need to take.

Step 1: Go to your Instagram profile and tap “Edit Profile”

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of this page and you’ll see your info section

This section may have a different name depending on what type of account you have. It'll be either:

1. “Public business information” (if Business account)
2. “Profile information” (if Creator account).

Ensure that your account is set up as a Business account if yours says "Profile information".

In this section, click on “Connect or create”. This is where you'll add your Facebook Page.

Step 3 (optional): You may have to set up your Meta Accounts Center if you have not done so already

If you've already done this at some point, you may skip this step.

Click through this process until you reach a screen where you can select which Facebook Page you’d like to link to your Instagram account.

Step 4: Choose your Facebook Page

From here, you can either choose to select an existing Facebook Page from the presented options or create a new Page. 

If you don’t have any pages to choose from, you’ll have to make one in order to link your FB and IG.

Or, if the Page you want to connect is not showing, check to see that you’re logged into the right Facebook profile and that you’re an admin of that Page.

Step 5: Finish up!

After you’ve chosen or created a Page, all that’s left is to hit “Done” and your Business IG account is now connected to a Facebook Page!
