You will need to have set your preferred Instagram account to a Business account in order to link to Atisfyre.
After clicking on your profile picture, select “Settings” from the list of dropdown options.
From here, you’ll be taken to a screen with a number of options on the left-hand side. Scroll down to the bottom of these options and select “Switch to Professional account”.
After selecting to switch your account, you’ll be presented with two options:
- The first is to change your account to a Creator account. This option is best for individuals like influencers who are public figures or personalities in their niche.
- The second option is to upgrade to a Business account. This better suits accounts that represent retailers, businesses, brands, organizations and service providers.
We recommend changing your account to a Creator profile. After you've made your selection, scroll to the bottom and click "Next". The next screen will show you the benefits the change will come with. For a Creator account, these include new profile controls and message request management tools.
Scroll to the bottom and click “Next”. You'll be presented with a list of categories to help you describe what it is that you do. Choose a category from the list presented or use the search bar to find the best-fit one for you.
After choosing your category, scroll to the bottom and click “Done”. If you've made your profile a Business account, you'll be taken to an additional screen where you can enter contact information for your clients. You can skip this step with “Don’t use my contact info” or fill out the info and click “Save”.
Once you have finished setting up your profile as a Creator or Business account, you will be able to connect it with Atisfyre.
The instructions for in-app are very similar to those for desktop.
After logging into the Instagram app with your profile, go to the bottom right corner and click on your profile picture. When you reach you your profile, move to the top right-hand corner and click on the hamburger menu (☰). From here, scroll to the bottom and select "Settings".
Click on “Account”, scroll to the bottom and select “Switch to Professional account”. You'll move to four pages that describe what it's like to have a Professional account. Move through these by clicking “Continue”.
Next, you’ll need to select a category label for your account. Choose an option from the provided list or use the search bar to find the category that best fits your needs. Once you have chosen your category, hit “Done”.
The next step is to choose if you want a Creator or Business account. A Creator account is ideal for influencers who are public figures or personalities in their field. A Business account better suits accounts that represent brands, organizations and service providers. We recommend choosing “Creator”. Once you have made your selection, click “Next”. If you select "Business," you will be prompted to update your contact information so that customers can reach you or visit your store. Skip this step by clicking “Don’t use my contact info” or fill out the fields and click “Next”.
The next step is to optionally add a linked Facebook Page, which will enable cross-posting and other features. You can complete this step by logging in to Facebook or by skipping it entirely.
If you have chosen “Creator” or have filled out the steps in the paragraph for a Business account above, you will be prompted to complete three steps to fully finish your account.
These are as follows:
- Complete Your Profile (fill out any required information that you have not already provided)
- Invite Friends (grow your audience by inviting or following others)
- Share Photos and Videos (get started by posting three photos or videos within the first week of converting your account)
Once you have completed these three steps, your account will be fully set up as a Professional account. You are still able to connect your Professional Instagram account to Atisfyre if you have not completed these steps, but we recommend doing so for greater reach and visibility.
